December 3, 2015, Ashland, VA — Longtime client Datapages Inc. has awarded Pinehurst Technologies a contract to provide Data Conversion Services. The project will contain publications from the South East Asia Petroleum Exploration Society (SEAPEX). Datapages is a non-profit organization serving the needs of petroleum geology professionals and students worldwide and acts as the digital publisher for the American Association of Petroleum Geologist and the geoscience community. Datapages archives and catalogs digital geological publications and offers them for purchase in multiple electronic formats on-line.
The project, which consists of 27 years of conference proceedings, will utilize many of the services Pinehurst Technologies offers. 19 years of existing PDFs will be supplied by Datapages to Pinehurst who will reprocess to enhance the PDFs prior to publishing on-line. In addition, Datapages will supply eight additional years of PowerPoint and Word documents that require conversion to PDF. For the final delivery, Pinehurst will create XML and HTML versions for each PDF. The XML will be based on the JATS DTD.
